Stone Cast + Fir and Walnut

| /

This beautifully handcrafted Pacific Northwest Coast Tall Owl box is made of fir wood with black walnut trim and with an aromatic cedar interior by master wood worker John Bateman.

The 'Northwest Coast Four Owl' images are cast in Florentine stone, an archivally stable synthetic stone. The plaques are immersed in a water based dye and hand polished with a greenish pigmented wax finish.

Hand forged pins hold the lid with the stone cast four owls.

It measures  29.7 cm tall 16.5 x 16.5cm width/depth and the top including the nail holders measures 19.8cm across tip to tip

These boxes are in a limited edition of 12.  This is the last of the series.

Thomas designed the west coast owl image and John Bateman designed and constructed the wood box.

"The four corners represents the crossroads between the material and the spiritual worlds and the four directions of the Earth - North, South, East, & West.”
