The owl is associated with magic, the otherworld, wisdom, and prophecy.
This plaque is cast in florentine stone, an archivally stable synthetic stone. The plaque is then immersed in a dye and hand polished with a pigmented wax finish. This one is dyed and waxed green to give it an verdigris look.
